Assistant Controller - Garden City

American Implement is looking for an Assistant Controller for our Corporate Support Center in Garden City, KS.

 This position is responsible for performing daily accounting functions including, but not limited to Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Inventory Management, Cash Flow Management, Forecasting, and Month End Closings.

 The ideal candidate is well organized and self-motivated to stay on task and meet deadlines without supervision. Must be able to drive company and product standards and use data to make recommendations. Must be capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.

 Essential Duties:

  • Assists the controller in directing the organization's accounting functions including receivables, payables, and reporting.
  • Contributes to the development and maintenance of financial reporting, planning and budgeting systems.
  • Oversees the preparation of periodic reporting and required legal filings.
  • Ensures that all corporate and required accounting policies and procedures are documented and followed by the organization.
  • Ensures that accounting records are accurate.
  • Manages and  train accounting staff.
  • May coordinate with auditors.
  • Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility.
  • May give input into developing the budget.
  • Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.

     

    Education & Experience Requirements

  • Requires a bachelor's degree in accounting
  • CPA preferred.
  • 3+ years of accounting experience.
  • Previous experience in a John Deere or similar retail dealership organization a plus.

     

    Skills:

  • Working knowledge of accounting processes and procedures.
  • Strong background in Microsoft Excel and other Office 365 programs.

     

    Physical Requirements:

  • Requires extended periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to occasionally lift of up 25 lbs.
  • Able to travel as needed.

A Service Manager is an integral part of the aftermarket team and must have communication and organizational skills while also being business savvy while maintaining a customer focus.

Position Summary:
American Implement is seeking a motivated leader to head the service department that has strong interpersonal skills, can multi-task and continuously build and grow a loyal customer base while building the skill-sets, productivity and efficiency of the service department. In this role, one will oversee the operations of the service department by actively managing work orders, service calls, inspections, warranty work, product improvement programs as well as developing technicians to provide the highest standards of customer service. To be successful, the Service Manager will implement and follow various processes, collaborate with others, recruit and build talent internally, and execute a marketing plan while encouraging teamwork throughout the dealership.

Responsibilities:
- Maintain effective service department processes to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction.
- Develop and implement a system to prioritize scheduling service work.
- Recruit, hire, develop and retain qualified service personnel.

Position Summary:
Being based out of the Hugoton, Kansas American Implement location, a motivated individual with their Commercial Driver’s Licenses is needed to represent the company to responsibly and courteously pick up and deliver equipment to our customers and in between locations. This individual will need to be able manage their time wisely, perform their tasks safely as well as being professional to their contacts. Operational knowledge of the various pieces of equipment being transported as well as safe driving practices with large and wide loads will add to the success of this individual.
