8th Annual John Deere Ag Tech Boot Camp

On Tuesday August 5, 2025, American Implement proudly hosted our 8th Annual John Deere Boot Camp, an exhilarating day dedicated to equipping our Full Throttle Apprentices for their approaching 2025-2026 college journeys as well as a successful career ahead. The event was brimming with invaluable networking opportunities and hands-on training that not only honed technical skills but also fostered camaraderie among our students. Attendees engaged in a variety of activities, including toolbox inventory, a Diesel Domination Tech Challenge, and a thought-provoking segment titled "Grease & Grit: A Farmer’s Perspective," featuring insights from valued customer Gordon Drees.
The day’s team-building exercises encouraged interaction among apprentices from various locations, enhancing collaboration across the American Implement family.
A special thank you to our inspiring John Deere Ag TECH Program grad panel—Kyle Hammond, Kaden Keenan, and Edwin Rodriguez—for sharing their experiences and practical advice for college success.
This event includes both first- and second-year students. After enjoying a delicious lunch, the students continued to embark on a day filled with insightful learning experiences. First-year students dove into the specifics of the Ag Tech program, gaining clarity on expectations for grades and conduct, and celebrated their official signing with American Implement. Meanwhile, second-year students engaged in meaningful discussions about life after graduation, focusing on goal-setting strategies to pave their paths forward. The day was further enriched by an engaging panel discussion featuring our dedicated support staff from IT, HR, and Service, who shared their expertise and guidance. The event finished with an inspiring reminder that we all living out loud a worthy story that is being written with each and every step we take and challenged the students to evolve their stories and themselves into what they want to become.
