“Their Legacy grows more than crops.”

We’re thrilled to kick off a unique series that will share the stories of our customers, but more importantly our partners and friends throughout Western Kansas and beyond. Our goal is to highlight their passion, vision, and shared purpose for agriculture and hope whoever views these stories will draw deeper connections to agriculture and/or their fellow producers.

Our first Fieldside Story takes us to the Southwest corner of Kansas; Plains, Kansas. Southwest Family Farms dates back to 1905. Brett and Clint Reiss explain how their family’s legacy and resilience have brought them to where they are today.

Embracing technology to gain efficiencies has been a key to Southwest Family Farms. Clint reflected on their decision to purchase one of the first See and Spray machines, “We think outside the box and look outside the box for opportunities.”

Relying on a strong equipment brand and dealership network has also been a key to their success. Evan Smith, American Implement, Montezuma, shares about his relationship with Southwest Family Farms and how he’s been able to assist them in their success.

We hope you take a few minutes to watch and enjoy this first Fieldside Story. We’re eager to bring you several other stories cultivated in the land we call home. We’re all uniquely different in how we go about our parts in the ag industry yet connected in the fact that we’re providing for others and our families at the same time.

Stories like Southwest Family Farms remind us that progress in agriculture comes from equal parts tradition and forward‑thinking. If you’re exploring new technology, equipment solutions, or simply want to connect with a team that understands the challenges producers face, reach out to your nearest American Implement location. Your story matters—and we’re here to help you write the next page.
