My Summer at American Implement: The American Implement CULTIVATE Internship Program

Aug. 15 2025 Miscellaneous By Kelley Baker

Hi everyone! I’m Hailee Bingham and in celebration of my summer spent with American Implement, I got to take over the blog for a post!

Internships are such a valuable part of learning and growing, and I’ve been incredibly fortunate to be part of a team that not only teaches but also learns from its interns. Working alongside the amazing staff here, I’ve gained hands-on experience, expanded my knowledge, and built lasting relationships that I’ll carry with me into my future career.

A little about me: I’m from Grinnell, Kansas, so Oakley is close to home. I’m currently studying Agriculture Business with a concentration in Precision Agriculture and a minor in Organizational Leadership at Fort Hays State University, where I’ll graduate in May 2026. Before that, I earned my Associate of Science in Agriculture Business and Associate of Arts from Colby Community College in 2024.

I chose American Implement because it’s a name I’ve known and respected growing up in this area. I’ve always been involved in the livestock side of agriculture, but I wanted to learn more about crops and equipment. This internship gave me the perfect opportunity to do just that. After my first interview with the team, I knew this was where I wanted to spend my summer.

Throughout the summer, I’ve had the chance to work on some exciting projects—helping with the Apprenticeship Celebration, assisting with Demo Day setup and media coverage, as well as helping with the Full Throttle Boot Camp event gearing up all of the Ag-Tech Students to get ready for school! I’ve also been working on organizing our Parts-on-Site locations, creating a system to ensure timely delivery of parts and better inventory management. It’s been rewarding to contribute in ways that make a real difference.

One of the best parts of this experience has been the people. I’ve built strong connections with customers and coworkers, and I’ve learned so much from everyone here. I’ve felt supported, challenged, and inspired every step of the way.

Looking ahead, I’ll be heading back to Hays in August to finish my bachelor’s degree. My goal is to build a career in sales, marketing, or business administration, and I know the skills I’ve gained this summer will help me get there.

Thank you to everyone at American Implement for making this such a meaningful and memorable experience. I’m so grateful for the opportunity and excited for what’s next!
